How to stop the negative thoughts is not as difficult as it may seem. It all starts with being able to hear what is being said inside your head.
Most people have no idea that the thoughts in their heads can be controlled or the damage those thoughts do to us on a daily basis.
We all grew up with beliefs that came from other people that we looked up to. They were not our beliefs but we adopted them , sometimes without even knowing it. Unless we have changed those beliefs, they are still with us and still play a role in our lives today.
That role is played by the thoughts in our heads that we listen to all the time.
If you don’t have the life you want, it could be for any reason, maybe you have plenty of money but you don’t have the perfect partner. Or maybe money is the problem and your happily married. Or It could be your just not happy.
Whatever the reason from lack of self confidence all the way to depression and insomnia , those are all things that can be fixed once you start your journey on learning how to control your thoughts. Controlling your thoughts is the first step to getting whatever it is you want.
In order to do this you need to be able start getting control of your thoughts. To do this you need to think of a memory, but not just any memory. One that makes you feel great. Next close your eyes and inside your mind re-live that memory. Re-live it for 15 to 20 seconds.
Now this maybe hard at first as you will witness the voice inside your head. This voice, which is your ego will try to stop you from re-living your memory. Go ahead do it now. Did you get a glimpse of your ego? He is the one in control of your thoughts right now because you are not. If you were not able to hold 15 seconds of one memory, don’t worry. Just keep practicing and you will be able to do it. This is the starting of how to stop the negative thoughts.
From here you just need to practice
Practice doing this as often as you remember to. It helps to put little reminders , such as sticky notes in places that you will see and let the sticky notes be your reminder to do the 15 seconds. Try to do it at least once an hour , more if you remember.
If you keep doing it , you will learn how to stop the negative thoughts.
The more you do this the easier it will become and the quicker you will start to hear what your ego is saying. Those thoughts are what your mind is hearing all day long . Is it any wonder you can’t have what you want when your ego is doing all the thinking for you.
Once you can do the 15 seconds with ease
Try holding the memory for longer periods of time. The longer you can do it and the more often you do it , the greater control you will have over being able to recognize when your ego is talking and what he or she is saying.
Once you are able to hear the negative thoughts, first just listen to what they are saying. You will beging to understand why you don’t have what you want. You will see the areas that your thoughts are affecting.
Once you are aware of what is being said , you can start changing tthe negative thoughts in your mind to more positive ones. The more you can catch and change the thoughts , the less they will be there.
Once we have learned how to stop the negative thoughts and we have changed our thought patterns to more positive, we will see more positive stuff on the outside too. Your mood will be more positive and you should feel happier.
It is not only your thoughts you are changing , but it will be a whole new way of life.
This may not be the easiest thing to do to begin with, but it will get easier as you continue to do it. It is so worth it as negative thoughts in our mind on a daily basis can really harm our thinking process, make us feel less than and they take us away from everything we want.
Don’t give up as mental work is the hardest work. Just remember you are doing this for yourself. The more you do it the easier it gets.
